Christopher Bucklow gallery opening was one of my favorite that saw in Chelsea. Christopher was born in Manchester, England in 1957. Bucklow is best known for his luminous silhouette photographs. Bucklow’s work is like Photograms, or light painting.
The little dots of light illuminate the subject. Christopher created his own device in order to get these luminous silhouette photographs. In the image it sort of seems like the light is shining on wrong thing to me, like the light is supposed to actually show the subjects face but it doesn’t which give the image more mystery on the subject. Christopher also works with other mediums such as Painting and Drawing. The paintings and drawing have their own style; they don’t have any relation to his photography work. The painting and drawing work are very opposite to his photography work.
Overall the exhibitions in in Chelsea were lovely its defiantly a different experience then going to a Museum. Even though galleries only show a few peoples work its still has their own feel or atmosphere in the gallery.
