YASUHIRO ISHIMOTO

Ishimoto was born in San Francisco and raised in Japan. he returned to the states to study agriculture but was later put in an internment camp where he later wanted to be a photographer. Ishimoto studied at Chicago where he started taking street photography he took a few Halloween photographs and pedestrians while in school.  in the later years his where was in Japan. The review mostly talks about Ishimoto's life work as a photographer he recently died last February. Ishimotos photographs are "Visually Bilingual" being that he was born in the United States and raised in Japan, you can see his work work and grow into a good variety and body of work the both have a great balance which makes his work of great interest.

Joel Mayerowitz review was ok the review mostly talked about Joel's work with black and white photography and the transition of museums and galleries accepting color photography. In the mid-70s Mayerowitz was a street photographer capturing intimate, humorous moments in NYC where he lived then later ventured out to other parts of the country then later photographing international destinations.
